It's February.
And I’m sitting on my office’s front porch, working, in a tank top.
LOOOVE.

France bids 'adieu' to the term 'mademoiselle' →
bonparisien:
French women will no longer have to declare their marital status on official forms after the government demanded the term “mademoiselle” be dropped. Feminist groups have hailed the move as a victory in their battle against a “male-dominated” society.
French language learners might soon have to update their text books after the government signalled the beginning of the end for the...

Ash Wednesday
Today marks the first day of Lent and being raised a Methodist, you better believe I’ve been trying to figure out my sacrifice for the last week.
It’s kind of typical–-I’m giving up all beverages except water and black coffee—but the real sacrifice and challenge for me this year is the actual follow-through. So many years in the past I’ve been great for the first...

Today I am:
Feeling:
sunny. It’s warm again and I feel it in my bones.
Hoping:
to finally get my work email cleaned out today. Period.
Dreaming:
of an afternoon where I can lay in the sun and get a start on 2012’s tan.
Wanting:
to figure out an idea for a novel. A really good idea.
Craving:
another good book. I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy and I want another good book to...

Eee, it's Saturday!
Geeze, I love the weekend.
Today? A whole heck of a lot of furniture shopping.
Tomorrow? Getting ready for the next week and then pulling out the new cowboy boots to go see Miranda Lambert & Chris Young with Brooke!
It’s going to be a nice 48 hours : )

Spring Training is so close.
Dear Hunger Games,
You have kept me up FAR past my bedtime tonight. Only to finish book two and once again be left hanging. What the French?!
Unappreciatively,

How to Raise Kids Like a French Woman.
OK, I’m far from a parent, aunt or even babysitter at this point in my life.
But I’ve always had a pretty opinionated way about how my kids (one day) will eventually be raised.
Maybe it’s from growing up in a pretty structured family or maybe it’s my total impatience and lack of toleration for anything remotely resembling misbehavior (spoken like a true “never been...

Today, I am:
Feeling:
healthier. FINALLY!
Hoping:
to go to the gym tomorrow. Albeit, you can bet it will be one weakling workout.
Dreaming:
of a day full of apartment cleaning and crafts. Nerdy much? Maybe. But it sounds fabulous.
Wanting:
to paint my fingernails. Or better yet, have someone else paint them.
Craving:
a cupcake. I know, after that lunch today? I must be joking. But it’s true.

So, I had to take a personality test.
And by had to, I mean, I found one and felt driven to “learn” more about myself. Kind of funny, nails me to a T. I’ve decided if I ever owned my own business, any time I hired anyone I would definitely give them a few of these in their orientation. It just really does tell so much about a person and how they’re going to work with others.

HARRY POTTER FANS, YOUR LETTERS ARE STILL OUT THERE. HAVE FAITH!
There’s still hope.
This is hilarious. And because I some how, deep down, wish it were so. I have to share.
